Snowy Owls
I've had a recent request for an Owls theme and since we are rapidly approaching winter here in the Northern Hemisphere, I chose images of snowy owls to share with you today.
The snowy owls shown in the photos were located at the Salmonier Nature Park in a fairly large walk-through enclosure. Most animals at the park were injured or may have problems living in the wild so I assume it is the same with these large birds. I have seen wild snowy owls in the South Side Hills area of St. John's, but never had a chance to photograph these beautiful birds.
