Burin Peninsula 9

Burin Peninsula 9

As you drive south along the Burin Peninsula Highway, the next town past Grand Bank id Fortune. I've been there four or five times over the years and have photos dating back to the early 70s. You may find it interesting that the fishing stages in Fortune are still well maintained unlike those in the Garnish/Frenchman's Cove area not too far away. The buildings here are red, yellow green and grey and most were freshly painted In the third photo you will see a small window in the top corner of the building. I wonder why the builder chose to put it in that location.

I was surprised to see so many fish on the beach and in the shallow water. It looks like the container upside down in the water had capsized.

Photos of the Day are for sale as stock photographs
and photographic enlargements.
They can also be purchased as slide shows
