Burin Peninsula 25

Burin Peninsula 25

Petite Forte was the last community we had time to photograph during our photo expedition to the Burin Peninsula. For those of you who may be planning a similar trip, I would advise at least three or, even better, four days, especially if the weather is good. We spent two full days and didn't get a chance to visit all the communities even though it was foggy the whole time we were there.

This is another small, photogenic community located on the Placentia Bay side of the Burin Peninsula. The whale bones were laid out on rocks near the entrance to the town along with what seemed to be the top section of a lighthouse. The fishing stages and buildings were well maintained in this community as well.

Photos of the Day are for sale as stock photographs
and photographic enlargements.
They can also be purchased as slide shows
and/or wallpapers/screensavers.
