Bell Island 4

In 2007, I helped organize a week-long national environmental conference for high school students and their teachers from all across Canada.  A field trip to Bell Island was one of the highlights of the week and one of my Grade 6 Think Green team members from MQP and I were the official photographers.  Today's photos were taken during that trip.
Participants had a chance to explore the cliffs, rocks and an old tunnel used when the mine was active.  Many found fossils in the broken sedimentary rocks that had fallen from the steep cliffs.
