Port de Grave

Port de Grave

Port de Grave is another community that I have visited many times over the years.  It is a scenic community located on the Port de Grave peninsula in Conception Bay.  Since I first photographed it in the early 80s, it has changed a lot.  Today it is home to many large and a few smaller fishing boats as well as pleasure craft.

When I was there on March 19, there was a thin layer of ice in the harbour but hardly any snow on the ground in the community.  That probably changed yesterday because we had 20 cm (8 in.) around here. As well, I made a couple of photos of a crew with a couple of excavators constructing a new dock in the harbour.

I plan to update my Port de Grave web site later today and, if I finish it, will give you the link tomorrow.

Feel free to share today's photos with family and friends.
