Holyrood 8

Holyrood 8

We are blessed to live in a place where there is plenty of fresh water in the form of lakes, ponds, brooks and rivers. Holyrood has three main rivers, each with small rapids and waterfalls.  When I first moved to the town I photographed the rivers and waterfalls using Kodachrome slide film.  Then, after going digital, I photographed them again and am sharing some of them with you over the next couple of days.

Here's a quote from Donovan's Operating Manual for Spaceship Earth - and when you think of it,  the Earth is the only home we have and we really should take better care of it.

 Don't pour filth into rivers,
Rivers are like the blood in our veins.
Don't pour filth into the air,
Air is the best thing that we can breathe.

Feel free to share today's photos with family and friends.

I very much like this series of water/stream pictures. I have seen pictures of flowing water (in slow motion effectively).. but I like the sparkle of water splashing in the light.
