Dolphins

Dolphins

As I walked along the beach in Sanibel, a group of dolphins decided to put on a show for us. They seemed to be hunting in circles and every now and again one would swim quickly towards the shore and swim in a circular motion, I assumed they were trying to corral fish by the currents they set up in the water.

Sanibel Light

Sanibel Light

I photograph lighthouses wherever I go but the one in Sanibel was the first I'd seen that was framed in steel rather than wood or concrete. It is quite famous and appears in many brochures and postcards.

I made photos of the Sanibel Light as I walked around the beach and you can see the different types of lighting from a variety of angles.

On February 1, I visited Sanibel Island with a group of photographers. Today I am sharing a few of the photos I took on a beach near a lighthouse.

White Ibis

White Ibis

This morning I am sharing photos of white ibis in flight. Many people call these birds Florida Chickens because they spend most of their time on the ground foraging for food. But when these birds take to the air they are fantastic fliers.

Tomatoes

Tomatoes

There were a variety of tomatoes in different stages of development growing Farmer Mike's in Bonita Springs, Florida during March. I was able to make a few photographs of some of them.
